Iguazu falls on the Argentine-Brazilian border (Puerto Iguazu)

Posted 1 year ago by igor in response to posteye's question: Is the waterfall separating Argentina from Brazil larger than Niagara?...that's what proud South Americans say (give a different answer) .

They are not wrong as far as I know, the Iguazu falls are wider than Niagara, with approximately 1.700 cubic meters of water plunging every second. It's shaped as a horseshoe, with huge cliffs at the base. A flight from Buenos Aires takes about 2 hours, but the best way to view it would be a helicopter ride. Unfortunately, these are available only on the Brazilian side, so content yourself with the tropical jungle paths.
