freez's question:
I am in Buenos Aires and I need to call my family, home. what's the cheapest option?(give a different answer) .
Buenos Aires is split into 2 telephone zones , owned by Telecom and Telefonica Argentina. For international phone calls go on Corrientes 705, it's open from 8 am to 10 pm. An expensive alternative is at the Central Post office. Also you may try at public phone boxes, most of them working with phone cards, called fichas or cospeles, which cost 0.5 $, 1 $ or 3 $, sold at newspapers stalls. however, the cards of the 2 companies are interchangeable.
