fabienne's question:
Why should I put the Santo Domingo church in my tripping list through Buenos Aires?(give a different answer) .
Well, the Santo Domingo church has an interesting history: it was founded in 1751; during the British attack on Buenos Aires in 1806, some of Whitelocke's soldiers took refuge in the church. The local forces bombarded it, the British capitulated and their regimental colours were preserved in the church. General Belgrano is buried here. If you come here during the summer, you can catch some evening concerts performed in the church.
