There are hundreds, but I used to go to Gran Cafe Tortoni near Plaza Mayo, because I enjoyed the ol' times atmosphere. Einstein loved this place as well and met his "gang" here for some intelligentsia talk (no, I was not there when they gathered). Chairs have red-leather tapestries and the decor signals Belle Epoque, with wooden decorations and painted skylights. Order a cafe con leche or a sidra, a kind of cider, but not with much alcohol. And don't miss the Friday jazz concert!
